The TriLingua Cinema Youth Advisory Council provides an opportunity for young movie lovers to help shape programming and events, and organizational priorities. Council members guide youth-focused initiatives, advise on film selections for the bi-monthly youth night at the cinema and develop leadership skills while working alongside TriLingua Cinema staff and board members.

2025 marked our first-ever Summer Youth Filmmaking Camp, supporting five young folks as they learned the fundamentals of filmmaking, and created their original short film, Shoreline, while also helping run TriLingua Cinema’s annual Summer Screening Series at the East Side Sculpture Park.

The program provided hands-on experience in both filmmaking and community arts programming, giving participants the opportunity to develop creative skills, build confidence, and contribute to meaningful neighborhood events.
